PORT HARCOURT BOOK CENTRE is a project by the Port Harcourt Literary Society (PHLS) and is made up of an ultramodern Public Library, an Events, and Cultural Centre, a Writers’ Hostel, and a multi-purpose Theatre.

The first phase which is the Ultra-modern Public Library was completed and commissioned in 2016. It consists of a 50-seat library, a 100-seat children’s library a 20-seat research library, and a general adult section that accommodates 180 persons.
